May 25, 2003 – 6th Sunday of Easter

Dear Friends:

Thought for the Day

"If God had a refrigerator, your picture would be on it.

If He had a wallet, your photo would be in it.

He sends you flowers every spring.

He sends you a sunrise every morning.

Face it, friend - He’s crazy about you!

God didn't promise days without pain, laughter without sorrow, sun without rain, but He did promise strength for the day, comfort for the tears, and light for the way."

This Sunday’s readings affirm God’s great Love for each and every one of us! God’s Love is not some generic Love for all of humankind, rather, it is a personal love that knows each of us by name, chooses us to be his friends and treasures us like a precious jewel

If only this simple, yet most profound truth, could find a permanent home within our hearts. Oh, how our lives would change and how we would experience life in a brand new light. A light that would lift us up, out of our daily burdens and allow us to perceive the world and all that God created, as a sign of his infinite Love for us!
