Dear Parishioners:

Today we celebrate Mission Sunday and we are reminded by our Holy Father, Pope John Paul II to follow the Gospel invitation "to be the Light of the World and the Salt of the Earth." Our baptism calls us to fulfill this mission that the whole world reflects the salvation of the Lord in our day and age.

Today we also remember in our prayers the 25th anniversary of the papacy of John Paul II whose health is failing. May the Lord protect and support him in his suffering.

The Knights of Columbus have organized a prayer service for the Pope on Monday evening at 7:30 pm and invite all parish members to participate.
Today is also a great day for a person whose life became synonymous with the care for the poor and the dying, the beatification of Mother Teresa, may her example inspire us in our charitable works.

Thanks to all of you who have increased their donations to the parish I hope it will continue and grow that our church community can prosper and be a beacon of hope for a world in despair.
May the love of Christ be with you always and may Our Lady, Queen of the Rosary lead you to him.

Fr. Henry
